This Ground; Our Hands
This Ground; Our Hands is a series of environmental portraits of gardeners working at the Wichita Botanical Garden. This body of work is process oriented, from photographing the gardeners in areas they cultivate, picking Elephant Ear leaves from the garden grounds, to onsite development. This work honors the laborers that play an important role in maintaining natural spaces within developed cities, while the Chlorophyll printing process allows viewers to observe the intricate detail of the organic material the images are printed on.
